The Pre-licensing Course may be taken in the classroom or by distance learning/virtual classroom. If you decide to take the classroom version, you will receive an MV-278 Pre-licensing Course Completion Certificate. Regardless of which version you choose to study each course follows the same curriculum content. If you are able to successfully complete your course, the provider will report your completion to the DMV immediately and you will not need to show an official certificate when taking your driver's test.
