The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that has smart mapping and app-based no go zones. Its run time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also automatically refills and self-empties its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot

The Roomba j7+, iRobot’s smartest robot to date, is the Roomba J7+. Its design is an improvement over the rest and features a sleek, top piece that looks more like a toy robot than a loud, obnoxious one. And the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System is self cleaning vacuum cleaner-emptying which is great to reduce the time spent cleaning.

In our tests, we found that the j7+ quickly eliminated dirt, dust and hair from pets. The counter-rotating rubber brushes held the debris in its place instead of scattering it on the floor. It even could capture sand and small gravel, which most other robots can't. It did this without getting tangled in our pet's hair.

The Q5+ is notably gentle around obstacles like wall legs and table legs and walls, which makes it a great option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in cleaning dust bunnies, which is a problem where cheaper robot vacuums often fall short. The Q5+'s navigation is superb, with only a few mishaps on walls and corners.

Like other Roborock devices, the Q5+ can be controlled using the buttons on the device itself or via the Roborock app. The app allows you to start and stop cleaning. You can also set schedules, design virtual barrier and no-go areas and modify your home map or re-label rooms.

If you decide to go with the Q5+, it ships with a new auto vacuum cleaner-empty dock, which was designed specifically to make this robot easy to maintain.
